A Skeptic got some serious proof!

If you were a journalist, how would you handle a news story so big it would utterly eclipse all other world events?

How thorough would your investigation be?

How many hard-hitting questions would you ask?

How carefully would you consult with top experts to get detailed, accurate answers?

Lee Strobel knows firsthand.
It was as an award-winning reporter for the Chicago Tribune and an avowed atheist that he first investigated the greatest news story of all—the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And, at the end of his investigation, he discovered faith---faith in Jesus! Hopefully you will too as you check out this book!

A Love Supreme....Jesus-style!

Donald Miller’s fresh and original voice may change the way Christians view the “status quo” faith and build a bridge to seekers who believe that organized religion doesn’t meet their spiritual needs.

“I never liked jazz music because jazz music doesn’t resolve. . . . I used to not like God because God didn’t resolve. But that was before any of this happened.”
In Donald Miller’s early years, he was vaguely familiar with a distant God. But when he came to know Jesus Christ, he pursued the Christian life with great zeal.
Within a few years he had a successful ministry that ultimately left him feeling empty, burned out, and, once again, far away from God. In this intimate, soul-searching account, Miller describes his remarkable journey back to a culturally relevant, infinitely loving God.

Blue Like Jazz is perfect for ultramoderns, postmoderns, pre-moderns, and old folks! A fresh look at the Gospel of Grace, and a new view toward university ministry!

Come Thirsty - No Heart Too Dry For His Touch!

Are you a dry sponge?

Edgy and rigid? Ineffective? Would you like to be softened up some? Would you like to be more useful in the hands of the One who made you? Then come to the well, says Max Lucado.

Scientists assure us that humans can’t live without water, and we don’t even attempt it. But survival without God? Oh, we sip, we taste, but we’re prone to go extended times without a good drink from the well of the Lord. And we pay the price for doing so. We shrink. We coil and re-coil against the world... organs harden... hearts harden.

In this renewing and life-giving book, Max Lucado, leads us to the four essential nutrients needed by every soul.

Come to the cross and know that your sins are pardoned and your death is defeated.
Receive Christ's energy and believe that you can do all things through the one who gives you strength. Receive his Lordship, knowing that you belong to him and that He looks out for you. Receive his love and feel confident that nothing can separate you from it.

Come, with Max, to the WELL...
to Christ's Work on the cross, his energy, his Lordship and his Love.

Why be dry when you can be saturated? The only requirement is to come thirsty.

It's time to make a change...

So many people today have an unhealthy need for affirmation and are unable to feel good about themselves without it. These "approval addicts" spend their time in a constant struggle with low self-esteem and emotional turmoil-which leads to major problems in their relationships with others.

In her latest book, Joyce Meyer provides a path to release from the overwhelming need for acceptance from the outside world-an acceptance that is unfulfilling and leads only to disappointment. Through an analysis of what makes an "approval addict" and the ways to find release from specific character traits that foster addiction, Joyce provides a supportive voice and a personal understanding of the effect of insecurity in one's life. Her abiding message is that God provides all the affirmation anyone needs and through Him they can attain freedom. Begin the journey toward self-understanding and learn to:

* Accept who you are. All of us struggle with our sense of worthiness. Joyce's goal is to help us understand that we are all whole in God, regardless of our flaws.
* Address your approval addictions. Understanding the specific character traits that foster addiction-and how our past is often a factor in our behavior-is a major step in overcoming our insecurities.
* Break the pattern for the future. Only by taking conscious steps toward accepting ourselves and examining our motives, and by depending on the God who loves us regardless, can we finally begin to break the chains of insecurity and move toward a life free from emotional pain.
* God tells us over and over in the Bible that we are loved and we are worthy.
Begin now to overcome your approval addiction by taking an honest look at who you are and how you feel about yourself.

This is a great Bible, and it is being discontinued...check it out!

Most Christian women long for a mentor in the faith. Ministry leaders are eager to mentor others, but find themselves unable to personally meet the needs of the many women wanting to be discipled. The Women of Destiny Bible can help both groups. By combining the collective wisdom of the world's most respected Charismatic women leaders with the full NKJV text, this Bible allows women in leadership to communicate their experiences with God, their struggles and victories, their best advice to other women they look up to, women who are experts in their fields and uniquely qualified to help others "grow up" in God. The Bible teaches that women should mentor, counsel, and be encouraged by other women. Editor Cindy Jacobs arranged the Women of Destiny Bible to do precisely that. With the help of over 100 female contributors such as Anna Hayford and Fuchsia Pickett, insight is shed upon countless readings of Scripture from a woman's perspective. From the warm welcome letter to the purple script throughout its pages, this decidedly feminine Bible is meant to draw women to a greater devotion to God. Mothers are mentored on how to discipline their children, single women receive biblical advice on finances and contentment, and all women are challenged to live with integrity.

This mentoring unveils itself through "Women of Destiny Letters"--literal letters written by Christian women to inspire and convict the reader, through the compelling stories of "Heroines of the Faith" from Eve to Joan of Arc to Amy Carmichael, and through "Words of Wisdom" (short quotes) by famous and familiar Christian sojourners. This would be a wonderful gift or first-time Bible since it details how to use the Bible, how to know God, how to become a Christian, and how the gifts of the Holy Spirit manifest themselves. A wonderful breath of fresh air for those hungry to study students of the Bible.Despite its wonderful packaging, the Word of God promises to change your life.

Praying God's Word.....

The image “http://www.god4me.com/images/pictures/0/0805430830.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

How do Christians learn to practice 2 Corinthians 10: 3-5, “tearing down strongholds by captivating our minds with the knowledge of God?” Beth Moore teaches that to be set free from each and every stronghold which claims our lives, we have to replace it with the mind of Christ and fervent daily prayer.

Praying God’s Word is a topical prayer guide addressing fourteen strongholds and what Scripture reveals about each issue. The Scriptures are presented in prayer form to be incorporated into the daily prayer life as a way of letting God’s Word, through prayer, help you overcome the strongholds of bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, and other areas as well.

Included in this pack is the companion Devotional Journal. Shed the spiritual burdens of anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness as you work through Moore's topical prayer guide one day at a time! This deluxe journal edition of Praying God's Word features a roomy 2-page spread for every devotional experience, with ample space to apply Moore's powerful insights to your own unique circumstances.

This is a modern classic on prayer. I hope you enjoy it for yourself.

What do you think of your Velvet Elvis?????

The image “http://www.god4me.com/images/pictures/4G20HXXXXX-80.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

We have to test everything. I thank God for anybody anywhere who is pointing people to the mysteries of God.

But those people would all tell you to think long and hard about what they are saying and doing and creating. Test it. Probe it. Do that to this book. Don’t swallow it uncritically. Think about it. Wrestle with it. Just because I’m a Christian and I’m trying to articulate a Christian worldview doesn’t mean I’ve got it nailed. I’m contributing to the discussion.

God has spoken, and the rest is commentary, right? Rob Bell, founding pastor of Mars Hill Church, and star of the NOOMA killer video series, has written this book in response to challenge given by contemporary Erwin McManus - to write something before you die!

Velvet Elvis is the postmodern (ultra-modern, pre-modern) commentary on the lived Christian faith. Check it out right here

Have you read The Ragamuffin Gospel?

This book is blowing my mind! It is so real, so genuine, so authentic!!!

Many believers feel stunted in their Christian growth. Oftentimens, we beat ourselves up over our failures and, in the process, pull away from God because we subconsciously believe He tallies our defects and hangs His head in disappointment. In this repackaged edition-now with full appendix, study questions, and the author's own epilogue on "Ragamuffin Ten Years Later"- Brennan Manning reminds us that nothing could be further from the truth. The Father beckons us to Himself with a "furious love" that burns brightly and constantly. Only when we truly embrace God's grace can we bask in the joy of a gospel that enfolds the most needy of His flock-the "ragamuffins."

I don't know about you but I need that furious love---up close and personal !

Get in step with the entrepreurial spirit...

Get in step with God’s entrepreneurial spirit. Two of America’s most influential pastors have drawn up a compelling blueprint to help churches and individuals move out of the sanctuary and into the community.

Kirbyjon Caldwell and Walt Kallestad explain how to create innovative partnerships that join the church’s passion for ministry with the expertise of the business community to meet physical and spiritual needs. Through biblical teaching and case studies from churches of various sizes and in a variety of locales, the authors show that the life of faith is an adventure of risk-taking in ministry.

Entrepreneurial Faith challenges pastors, lay leaders, and individual Christians to invest their skill and passion in practical expressions of ministry. The same principles provide a new avenue for community-minded professionals to partner with churches to bring needed services to the community. With this book as a guide, you can stop being a spectator and start putting your faith to work by diving into the adventure of entrepreneurial ministry. Right now, right where you are, you can make a needed difference in a needy world.

Indeed this is a necessary book for those pastors and leaders who are willing to step out of the boat of normal church and into the bold initiatives of entrepreueurial faith.

Cure for the Common Life

"Sweet spot." Golfers understand the term. So do tennis players. Ever swung a baseball bat or paddled a Ping-Pong ball? If so, you know the oh-so-nice feel of the sweet spot. Life in the sweet spot rolls like the downhill side of a downwind bike ride. But you don't have to swing a bat or a club to know this. What engineers give sports equipment, God gave you. A zone, a region, a life precinct in which you were made to dwell. He tailored the curves of your life to fit an empty space in his jigsaw puzzle. And life makes sweet sense when you find your spot.

But if you're like 87 percent of workers, you haven't found it. You don't find meaning in your work--or you're one of the 80 percent who don't believe their talents are used. What can you do? You're suffering from the common life, and you desperately need a cure.

Best-selling author Max Lucado has found it. In Cure for the Common Life he offers practical tools for exploring and identifying your own uniqueness, motivation to put your strengths to work, and the perfect prescription for finding and living in your sweet spot for the rest of your life.

Praying that you are in the groove, finding your sweet spot!

be blessed, beloved

How People Grow: What the Bible Reveals about Personal Growth

All growth is spiritual growth. Authors Drs. Cloud and Townsend unlock age-old keys to growth from Scripture to help people resolve issues of relationships, maturity, emotional problems, and overall spiritual growth. They shatter popular misconceptions about how God operates and show that growth is not about self-actualization, but about God’s sanctification. In this theological foundation to their bestselling book Boundaries, they discuss:

• What the essential processes are that make people grow
• How those processes fit into a biblical understanding of spiritual growth and theology
• How spiritual growth and real-life issues are one and the same
• What the responsibilities are of pastors, counselors, and others who assist people in growing—and what your own responsibilities are in your personal growth

It is crucial to understand that God is in charge of human potential. All things were created for him and by him.

Holiness is wholeness.

The glory of God is man fully alive is that life consists in beholding God. As we grow into the likeness of Christ, we become fully alive.

Praying that you become fully alive, beloved

Under Cover: The Promise of Protection Under His Authority

Under Cover: John BevereDiscipline is the answer to lawlessness. The discipline that God gives to the church is not to hurt us, but to help us grow. Often a strong word is needed......often divine order brings a strong word to us.

John Bevere has given the church an excellent resource to help understand the need for spiritual covering, and protection through the local church.

To walk in true spiritual authority, a believer must be submitted to God's sovereign authority. In this book, John Bevere shows readers how submission to this divine order grants the Kingdom's provision and protection. This well loved writer effectively uses his personal mistakes to illustrate riveting truths about repentance and forgiveness. As he focuses on the true authority of God, he is careful to explain by example the important difference between "submission" and "obedience." The same struggle with divine authority is also represented through the lives of John the Baptist, the Apostle Paul, and other biblical figures.
An especially helpful book for Christians who want to develop a serious pursuit of God.
